Needham Youth Classic
The Needham Track Club hosts this meet. This is a fun
meet that is run like a large field day event. This is a great meet to do
even if you have never participated in a track meet before.
Due to construction at the Needham track facility, the meet
will be held at the Wellesley High School track this year.
Age groups are based on age as of August 1, 2008: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12,
13-14, 15-16.

Start Time
The meets begin at 4:00pm on Friday and 9:15am on Saturday. Please be there
early to pick up your number and warm up. See the
event schedule on the
meet website for details.
Registration
Registrations should be received by Friday, July 25,
2008 !!!
$18 per individual entry (includes 2 running events each day and unlimited field
events) if received by July 25, 2008 $25 per individual entry if received
after July 25. Note: Race day entries are restricted to
ONE running event.
$7 for extra individual running events. Limit: TWO extra
running events per day.
$12 per relay team (Relay not included in event limits).
Events
Track events: 50 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter, 300 Meter,
400 Meter, 800 Meter, 1500 Meter (ages 9 to 16), 3000 Meter (ages 9 to 16),
Hurdles, 4x100 Relay.
Field events: Long jump, triple jump (ages 9 to 16), standing long jump,
standing triple jump, high jump, shot put (ages 9 to 16), turbo javelin
(ages 9 to 16), softball throw and jump for height (ages 7 to 8 only).

Directions
The Wellesley High School Track is located
just off Route 16 in Wellesley. It is approximately two miles west of Route 128
and approximately one mile east of the intersection of Routes 16 and 135 in
Wellesley Center.
From Route 95 / 128
Take Route 9 – West exit. Turn onto Route 16, Turn LEFT onto State Street (at
Star Market).
From Route 90 (Mass Turnpike)
Take the Route 95 / 128 – South exit and follow directions above.
From Route 9 coming from the West
Turn RIGHT on Kingsbury Street (flashing light), go through 2 traffic lights
pass Star Market.
From Route 9 coming from the East
Turn onto Route 16. Turn LEFT onto State Street (at Star Market).
From Route 16 coming from the East
Turn LEFT onto State Street (right after Star Market).
From Route 135 / Needham (Great Plain Ave.)
Follow Route 135 through and past traffic circle in Wellesley. Turn RIGHT on
Clifford Street and RIGHT at stop sign.
From Route 135 coming from the West
Turn onto Route 16 in Wellesley and follow directions below.
From Route 16 coming from the West
Turn RIGHT on State Street just before Star Market.
In all cases above, go PAST track to High School parking lot on your
RIGHT.

Free parking is available diagonally across
the street at the Wellesley High School.
